The First World War was an international conflict impacting regions in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific- not to mention the involvement of nations entering the war from elsewhere. But while the trench warfare tactics of the conflict have made the First World War world famous, the conflict was also testing ground for new military technologies on land, in the air, and underwater. The impacts of the war bled far beyond the front lines of battlefields, with medical corps and radio operators involved in battles from miles away doing their best to save lives and end the war.
