Only a small number of monarchies still exist in Europe today, and the vast majority of their leaders still rule their countries. In Luxembourg- a small city-state in Western Europe- still holds a powerful monarchy (with its head executive known as the Grand Duke). However, it is Luxembourg's Princess Alexandra who may perfectly represent her nation and who serves as a real-life Wonder Woman worth of this week's title.
Princess Alexandra was born in 1991 and is the fourth of five children of the Grand Duke, and the only daughter. Alexandra benefited from her royal heritage from a young age by receiving incredible education from around the world. Alexandra studied literature in Luxembourg; psychology and social sciences in the United States; philosophy, ethics, and anthropology in France; and ecumenics (religious studies) in Ireland. Princess Alexandra spent her post-university life conducting journalism in the Middle East, interning with the Security Council in the United Nations (where she represented her country before it received official voting rights), and volunteering with refugees.
