The Wonder Woman this week uses comedy to draw attention to some of the more absurd aspects of American society. Aisha Tyler grew up among holy Hindus in Oakland, California as an unusually tall child- forcing her to learn the value of comedy in self-acceptance. While in high school, Tyler spent time with two fellow students who would also become noted comedians and/or actors- solidifying Tyler's desire to become both in her adult years.

Following college- where she performed in an acapella group- Aisha Tyler began performing in stand-up comedy across California. Soon after graduating, Tyler starting acting in small roles such as Friends and CSI: Miami. Tyler also began working in print media with writing as a guest author for Glamour and Entertainment Weekly- among others. The height of Tyler's career began in 2009 though when she began voice-over work for the television show Archer- a comedy about international spies. In 2011, Tyler joined the The Talk as a co-host and in 2013 Tyler became the host for the rebooted Whose Line Is It Anyway? television show.
