The Wonder Woman for these week falls under the "powerful women in comedy" category. Julia Louis-Dreyfus started as a Saturday Night Live actress around the time she was cast for the role of Elaine on Seinfeld. It was the latter role that would launch Louis-Dreyfus to fame.

After Seinfeld's series finale aired, Julia Louis-Dreyfus spent almost ten years away from television before landing the lead role on The New Adventures of Old Christine. The show featured a recently divorced mom raising her son with her ex-husband and his new wife too often in the picture. The show aired for four seasons before ending in 2010.

The following year, Louis-Dreyfus was cast as the lead role in the new show Veep centered around the Vice President of the United States and her political career. The show would go on to win several awards, including for the lead actress' performance including six straight Emmy Awards. In 2017, Julia Louis-Dreyfus announced she was diagnosed with breast cancer
