Wonder Woman of the Week: Michelle Howard

Michelle Howard made history earlier this week by becoming the first female Four Star Admiral in the United States Navy. This blog is no stranger to naval women. Those in the past were all pirates, women who fought "the man" by raiding their enemies on land and sea. Howard is not much different. She gained attention for her services in Operations Desert Shield & Desert Storm and her work in Yugoslavia. She also helped coordinate training excercises with West African nations and, oh yeah, fought pirates off the coast of East Africa. Vice Admiral Michelle Howard's career went from badass to historic when she became the first woman to gain that rank in US history.
