Wonder Woman of the Week: Aida Muluneh

Perhaps more Louis Lane than Diana Prince, the Wonder Woman this week is an award winning and world-respected photojournalist. Aida Muluneh focuses on capturing the everyday lives of East Africans with a specific focus on the relationship between history and future of particular communities. Muluneh began photography with her high school art class in Canada where she instantly fell in love with the medium.

Aida Muluneh has showcased her work in several museums and galleries around the world- including the Smithsonian Museum of African Art in Washington DC. Other museums and galleries include Woman Made Gallery in Chicago, ifa-Galerie in Berlin, ifa-Galerie in Stuttgart, 44 Centre for Contemporary Photography in Toronto, and David Krut Projects in New York City.
