Wonder Woman of the Week: Erin Foley

Over the years (and I am just now realizing I can actually say “years”) I have covered a lot of athletes and journalists, but this week’s Wonder Woman is the first sports journalist. She’s also a comedian, actress, and civil rights activist. The Wonder Woman of the Week is Erin Foley.

While female athletes get their (un)fair share of people overlooking their successes, those women in sports journalism are definitely more overlooked. Erin Foley’s podcast “Sports Without Balls” is aptly named- and ridiculously hilarious. Outside of her podcast, Foley is often a guest on a platform of different late night shows. She is also an advocate of LGBT Rights, as well as increasing the diversity of women’s roles in sports and sports journalism.
