In Behind the Net, feminist anthropologist Joseph C Wilson examines the complex Post-Colonial context in which the sport of netball exists within New Zealand. Carefully examining the impact of generations of British colonization on the indigenous Maori people, Wilson examines how cultural and linguistic revitalization efforts within the country's netball culture are dismantling systems of division within the country through examining Wellington's Central Pulse team during 2020 season of the ANZ Premiership.
