The Saga of Leif Erikson follows the exploits of Leif Erikson- a Christian Viking navigating the tumultuous era of Nordic history in which Norwegian King Olaf expects the conversion of frontier settlements in Greenland under Leif's Pagan father Erik the Red. As he sets to work attempting to convert Greenland to Christianity, Leif struggles to find meaning and purpose in his home community becoming increasingly hostile towards his attempts at conversion, and in navigating the dangerous waters of the North Atlantic. Balancing the pressures of being a navigator and early Christian convert with the responsibilities of family community, Leif embarks on a journey of self-discovery and through fate or failure- the discovery of a new continent, attempting to make sense of his place at the cusp of new and old worlds geographically and religiously.
