Women's sports have made strides, yet female athletes remain underrepresented and underfunded, leaving young women and girls without enough role models to emulate. In an era where women's rights face erosion globally, visibility matters more than ever. Showcasing strong, skilled, and passionate women in sports can ignite inspiration, resilience, and ambition, proving that athletic achievement is not limited by gender, and that young girls can dream boldly.

Sports are deeply woven into the cultural fabric of nations, reflecting identity, tradition, and community. Elite female athletes not only master these unique disciplines but also preserve and elevate them for future generations. By celebrating women who excel in culturally significant sports worldwide, we honor heritage, challenge stereotypes, and demonstrate that women’s contributions are vital to sustaining and evolving the world’s rich sporting traditions.

Our pilot episode of Play Like a Girl takes viewers to Hawaii, where we explore the legacy of women's surfing. Host Gwen Grace meets with local female surfers who carry forward generations of tradition, skill, and courage on the waves. Women in Hawaii have long shaped surfing history, yet their stories are rarely told. Through intimate conversations, vibrant action shots, and cultural immersion, we aim to highlight their impact and resilience. By sharing these narratives, our series inspires young women and girls to see themselves as trailblazers, not bystanders, in sports and society. This pilot sets the stage for a global journey, motivating audiences to embrace their potential, pursue excellence, and reignite the fight for women’s rights, one sport and one story at a time.
