ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrive in Szczawnica and transfer to our locally-owned hotel & spa. Known throughout time for its healing springs, and now iconic castles, Southern Poland offers a variety of experiences throughout its rolling hills and forests.

Day 2: Explore the town's local culture with visits to some of Szczawnica's oldest churches before exploring the night life of the town's culinary scene with dinner at one of Southern Poland's top restaurants.

Day 3: Go on a day hike into the hills of Pieniny National Park to explore the local scenery and culture including a picnic lunch in the Polish countryside and learn about the history of the town as an epicenter for aristocratic wellness retreats.

Day 4: Relax with gentle a walking tour through Szczawnica before exploring the hotel & spa's incredible services- spending an afternoon enjoying a calm and relaxing retreat from daily life.

Day 5: Explore Niedzica Castleto learn more about the history of Medieval Poland in the remains of this incredible historical site including an exploration of its historical museum.

Day 6: Enjoy a second day hike exploring the incredible Homole Canyon for a final exploration of Southern Poland's unchanged natural landscapes.

Day 7: Enjoy a day off to explore Szczawnica and the surrounding landscapes- or relax in the hotel & spa one last time before the last day of the journey.

Day 8: Depart Szczawnica with transfers to the Szczawnica bus station departing for Krakow.

WHAT TO EXPECT
In keeping with the nature of an expedition, your schedule is kept flexible to take advantage of the unexpected, adapting course to the conditions and opportunities that arise. Your expedition experience can be tailored to the activity level you choose—whether it’s light or moderate or a little of both. Guests should be in good health, and comfortable walking or standing for extended periods of time and over uneven surfaces. Daily activities may include intermediate hikes, walking tours and visits to cultural or historic sites, with options for more physical activities such as longer hikes or kayaking, depending on the conditions. All departures are family friendly.
Expedition Team
An Anthro International Expert or Explorer joins the expedition team on all departures.
