Day 1: St. Louis, Missouri
Arrive at any time. Your arrival transfer is included.

Day 2: St. Louis, Missouri
Take a day trip to nearby to Fort DuChartres across the Mississippi River in Illinois where the Corps of Discovery first made camp in preparations for their upcoming expedition.

Day 3: St. Louis, Missouri
Spend the morning at the Missouri Botanical Gardens to learn all about the plant life of the American West the Corps of Discovery was about to spend the next two years learning about before heading to the Missouri History Museum to learn about the historical impact of the Lewis & Clark Expedition.

Day 4: St. Louis, Missouri
Spend the day exploring the wildlife of Missouri at Lone Elk State Park before learning more about the history of the region at the St. Louis Arch.

Spend the day exploring the wildlife of Meramec State Park before enjoying a campfire feast prepared by expedition staff.

Day 6: St. Louis, Missouri > Kansas City, Missouri
After breaking camp, we'll head to Kansas City, stopping Marthasville, Missouri along the way to learn about the historical village of La Charette- once a small French settlement where the Corps of Discovery enjoyed a final stop before entering the complete unknown of the American West before making camp in Weston Bend State Park.

Day 7: Kansas City, Missouri
Spend the day exploring the Platte River and learn all about some of the expedition's early obstacles with both wildlife and internal conflicts among the crew.

Day 8: Kansas City, Missouri
Take a day trip to nearby Fort Osage to learn more about what life was like for soldiers posted on the frontier and for the indigenous peoples who trade with them including the Oto and Missouri Peoples whom the Corps of Discovery encountered along their journey.

Day 9: Kansas City, Missouri
Spend the day exploring the wildlife of Weston Bend State Park before enjoying a campfire feast prepared by expedition staff.

Day 10: Kansas City, Missouri > Mandan, North Dakota
After breaking camp, we'll head to North Dakota, stopping for lunch along the James River along the way before making camp in Weston Bend State Park.

Day 11: Mandan, North Dakota
Take a day trip to New Town, North Dakota to visit the Three Affiliated Tribes Museum to learn all about the Mandan and Hidatsa Peoples whom the Corps of Discovery met along their journey into the Rocky Mountains.

Day 12: Mandan, North Dakota
Spend the morning exploring the North Dakota Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center before spending the afternoon visiting the North Dakota Heritage Center to learn more about the historical context of the Corps of Discovery's journey through the Great Plains.

Day 13: Mandan, North Dakota
Learn about the harsh first winter of the expedition with a visit to the site of Fort Mandan to learn more about how the Corps of Discovery survived their first winter in the American West as well as the contributions of new team members like Sacagawea.

Day 14: Mandan, North Dakota
Learn more about the Mandan and Hidatsa during a day trip to Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site as well as the local flora unique to the Great Plains.

Learn more about the wildlife of the Great Plains with a visit to nearby Bismarck's Bismarck Rotary Arboretum and Atkinson Nature Park.

After breaking camp, we'll head to Yellowstone National Park, stopping for lunch along the way before making camp in Yellowstone National Park.

Try your hand at boating life on a day trip to kayak on Yellowstone Lake with a local kayaking guide to learn all about what it was like for the expedition to row their way up the Missouri River into the Rocky Mountains.

Visit the Museum of the Rockies to learn more about the wildlife the Lewis & Clark Expedition found as they made their way into the Rocky Mountains and nearby Headwaters Heritage Museum to learn more about the impacts the expedition had on the history of the region.

After breaking camp, we'll head into the Bitterroot Mountains, stopping for lunch at Lemhi Pass along the way before making camp in Bitterroot National Forest.

Spend the day on a day trip to the nearby Nez Perce Reservation to learn about the Nez Perce People who saved the Corps of Discovery from starvation and death in the Rocky Mountains and who assisted them in finding a route to the Pacific.

Learn more about Sacajawea's contributions to the expedition at the Sacajawea Interpretive, Cultural & Education Center and the Lemhi County Historical Society & Museum.

After breaking camp, we'll head into Oregon, stopping for lunch at Celilo Falls along the way before making camp in Clatsop State Forest.
