The Wonder Women this week are Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim- better known as their band name HAIM. The band formed in 2007 with the three sisters who have been rocking the underground pop rock scene since they began. The instrumentals for the group includes Este on bass guitar and vocals Danielle on guitars and vocals; and Alana on keyboards, guitars, and vocals.

After the band formed in 2007, the group quickly garnered record deal proposals including Polydor Records and Jay-Z's Roc Nation. The band signed with Roc Nation in 2012 and began working on their first studio albums- beginning with Days Are Gone. The band then went on tour including performances at South by Southwest and Glastonbury Festival in the UK before returning to the studio to record their next album Something to Tell You.

HAIM describe their music style as a combination of their inspirations- citing music from Fleetwood Mac, Beyonce, and Shania Twain. The band is quick to denounce the "girl band" stereotype too and quickly defending the status of women in music as being musicians on the same level as men. On top of that, the band manages to constantly create dynamic and unique performances on stage where their rock style contrasts with their pop sound in studio.
