The Age of Exploration where (mostly) European travelers explored the world uncharted ended centuries ago, but one women keeps the adventure to tackle Earth's most treacherous territories alive. Sasha Digiulian is not only breaking records for women in mountain climbing, but breaking human records- often being the first person to climb (and free climb) the world's most dangerous mountains and cliffs.
Before graduating high school, Sasha DiGiulian free climbed Red Smoke and Lucifer in Kentucky (which sounds as badass as it really is). After high school, DiGiulian free climbed more difficult routes beside Red Smoke and Lucifer in the Red River Gorge of Kentucky before pushing herself to even greater goals. Between 2004 and 2010, DiGiulian was an undefeated champion in the Panamerican Games for rock climbing. The following year, DiGiulian conquered Magic Mushroom- considered one of the most difficult routes on the Eiger Mountain in Switzerland.
In 2016, Sasha DiGiulian graduated from Columbia University before entering the International Federation of Sport Climbing as a representative to the board. DiGiulian also serves as a board member for the Women's Sports Foundation dedicated to increasing the number of and supporting women in sports.
